ABOUT THIS CARE

Check-ups, cleans and general dental care in Adelaide CBD.

You do not need to arrive with a treatment plan. Tell Dr Tadic what has changed, what feels uncomfortable and what you would like help with. Your examination is the starting point for deciding what needs attention now and what can be planned over time.

Everyday care at the practice

  • Dental examinations and professional cleans
  • Fillings and assessment of damaged dental work
  • Children’s check-ups and dental care
  • Planning care for teeth, gums and existing restorations
01

What happens at a check-up?

Dr Tadic examines your teeth and gums and talks through any concerns you have brought to the appointment. Mention changes such as sensitivity, bleeding gums, a tooth that catches food or discomfort when chewing. X-rays may be recommended where they help assess a problem.

You will hear what the examination shows and which next steps are appropriate. An appointment for assessment does not mean that every treatment will be completed at that visit.

02

When a tooth needs more than a clean

A filling, crown or other restoration may be considered for a damaged tooth. The choice depends on the remaining tooth, existing dental work and the findings of your examination. Dr Tadic will explain the options and their costs before you decide.

For severe toothache, swelling or a recent injury, phone the practice rather than waiting for a routine check-up.

03

Coming back after a long break

If you have put off seeing a dentist, say so when you book. You can also tell us about a difficult previous experience or anything that makes appointments uncomfortable. Start with an examination and your questions; you do not need to commit to a course of treatment before you understand it.

04

Children and ongoing family care

Dr Tadic sees children as well as adults. When booking for a child, tell the practice their age and whether you are arranging a check-up or need help with a particular concern. Ask about the appointment fee and any Child Dental Benefits Schedule arrangements that may apply.

The timing of future visits depends on the individual. Your next check-up or maintenance appointment can be planned around the findings and the care recommended for you.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Your questions,
answered.

Read the answers below, then bring any questions about your own teeth to your visit.

How do I book a check-up and clean on Hutt Street?

Choose Check-up & clean in online booking, select an available time, then review and complete your booking. You will see confirmation when the appointment is reserved. Call (08) 7200 3788 if you need help or want to ask about the assessment and cleaning fees.

Can I book if I have not seen a dentist for years?

Yes. New and returning patients are welcome. Book an assessment and let us know about any pain, concerns or previous experiences when arranging the visit.

Will I have a clean at my first visit?

Tell the practice you would like a check-up and clean when booking. The examination helps determine which cleaning or gum care is appropriate and whether further appointments are needed.

Will I need X-rays?

Not every appointment needs X-rays. Dr Tadic will explain when an image would help with assessment. Let the practice know if you have recent dental X-rays elsewhere.

What should I bring?

Bring details of your medicines, medical conditions, allergies and any recent dental care, along with your health fund card if you have one. Please share clinical documents directly with the practice.

How do I find out the cost?

Ask about the assessment and cleaning fees when booking. Any further treatment is explained and quoted before you decide. HICAPS claiming is available; your benefit depends on your cover.

Can I book an appointment for my child?

Yes. Call with your child’s age and the reason for the visit so the practice can help arrange the appointment. Check fees and any applicable CDBS arrangements before the visit.
