ABOUT THIS CARE

Consider the tooth underneath as well as its appearance.

Veneers cover the front surface of a tooth. Before choosing them, Dr Tadic assesses your teeth, gums, existing dental work and bite. You can focus on the individual teeth that concern you; a consultation does not commit you to veneers or a whole-smile treatment.

What to discuss at your assessment

  • The particular teeth and changes you have in mind
  • Existing fillings, sensitivity or dental problems
  • Clenching, grinding and the way your teeth meet
  • Preparation, maintenance and the full treatment estimate
01

Porcelain and composite involve different processes

Composite resin is shaped directly on the tooth. Porcelain veneers are custom-made and bonded to it. Their appointment plans, costs and future maintenance differ. The appropriate choice depends on the teeth being treated and what you want to change.

02

Understand what tooth preparation means

Some enamel may need to be removed, which cannot be reversed. Sensitivity, chipping and a veneer becoming loose are possible. Veneers do not treat decay or resolve an underlying bite problem. These issues need to be considered as part of the plan.

03

Compare a smaller change or another approach

A veneer is one option, not an automatic next step. Whitening, a more limited repair or no cosmetic treatment may be appropriate alternatives. Ask what each approach would achieve and what it would involve for your own teeth.

04

Plan for maintenance, not just the first result

Veneers need daily cleaning and dental checks. They may need repair or replacement over time. Grinding, existing restorations and future colour changes can affect your plan, so discuss these before treatment as well as the initial quote.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Your questions,
answered.

Read the answers below, then bring any questions about your own teeth to your visit.

Can I discuss both porcelain and composite veneers with Dr Tadic?

Yes. Both are part of the cosmetic options you can discuss at Brighter Smiles Centre. Book an assessment online or call (08) 7200 3788; the appropriate approach depends on your teeth and preferences.

Does every tooth need a veneer?

No. Veneers may be considered for one tooth or several. Discuss the specific teeth that concern you and whether a more limited approach is appropriate.

How much do dental veneers cost?

The quote depends on the material, the number of teeth and the work required. Ask about the assessment fee and request an explanation of the proposed treatment and follow-up costs.

Can I book veneers straight away?

You can book an assessment with Dr Tadic. It gives you time to understand the findings, options and costs before deciding on treatment. The appointment does not commit you to veneers.
